Following the video reports which went viral showing some Ghanaian footballers stranded in Ethiopia, the government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Sports and Ghana Football Association have taken quick action to assist them.
Wontumi nationwide sports presenter, Abou Diaby, earlier today , interviewed Lee Addy, one of the stranded football players who were captured in the video, and he again made the appeal to Ghanaians and the Government to help them deal with their horrible situation over there.
In the interview, The former Black star player, stated that, Ethiopia Premier League 2019/2020 was cancelled due to coronavirus pandemic.
In the video, the players were claiming to have spent all their monies on rent and food and from Monday there will be no option for them to live normal life over there and therefore called for quick response from the Ghana government to come to their aide.
The President of GFA, Mr. Kurt Okraku and Minister for Sports , Hon. Isaac Asiamah , upon watching video, have collaborated to assist the stranded Ghanaian footballers to be brought back home.
